Kate Chodor is a native New Yorker who lives and works in Manhattan, and spends her summers painting in upstate New York and New England. Kate has been an artist all her life, but found true expression in watercolor in 1994 while recovering from a car accident. In 1996, Kate (gleefully) left the corporate world and decided to pursue the business of art full time by marketing small watercolor paintings as greeting cards. Her cards were carried by a major department store chain for several years until, after hand-painting and personalizing thousands of cards, Kate changed direction and began licensing her work for reproduction. The artist and her work will be featured in the Courage Cards 2001 Christmas Catalog (www.CourageCards.com) Kate's paintings have been accepted into and won awards in national juried exhibitions and her paintings are included in private collections world-wide.
